New Sponsor: Beer of the Month Club

16 Oct

The Great American Beer Club is our latest sponsor. From their site:

The Great American Beer Club invites you to join with other microbrew scouts to enjoy a variety of rare and wonderful beers from small craft breweries around the country. Journey to Liberty, Maine to enjoy a rich and robust Porter or explore a smooth and crisp Pilsner from Whitefish, Montana. The Beer of the Month Club will educate you on the finer aspects of beer and make you a true expert.

With each Beer of the Month Club shipment you'll receive a twelve pack of four (4) different types of hand-crafted microbrewed beer in 12 ounce bottles. We'll deliver them brewery-fresh to your home or office for only $21.95 per month plus shipping.

Has anyone tried them? If so, what did you think?

Beer Weekend

13 Oct

This weekend is a good beer weekend for me. First off, my PR package from Widmer Brothers finally arrived after being lost in our building for a week. So, I'll have six Widmer Brothers hefeweizens to enjoy. Thanks to Lincoln and the folks at Edelman for sending this out and being patient while I tried to track this down. I'll have more info. and pics on this over the weekend.

Next, I'll be going to the Orlando Brewing brewery on Saturday night to take a tour and drink some beers. I'll have some pics and notes to post over the weekend or next week.

Pumpkin Ales: Love 'em or Hate 'em?

10 Oct

Me, I hate 'em. Actually, I don't like anything about pumpkins except for maybe cutting them open, eviscerating them, putting candles in their body cavities, and waiting for them to rot into oblivion.

But that's just me, how about you?

Oh, and if you do like them then check out Lyke 2 Drink's tasting of six of those crazy bastards.
