Just a bit of linkbaiting in the title there since it isn't actually his beer bong. Or, is it?…
Looks like some young Hawkeyes fans got to get their beer bong next to Kerry during a pregame party. I think he did a good job of keeping a smile on his face while having the non-business end (you know, the end that smells like stale PBR, vomit, broken dreams, and anonymous sex) of a beer bong put in his face.
Link via today's haiku on Beer Haiku Daily.

Important stuff first: Check out our Beer Grazr page to browse beer blogs and sites in one place.
Boring, geeky stuff: I finally found the time to add all the sites and blogs in our blogroll that publish an RSS feed to my Bloglines account. This made it easy to export them to an OPML file that I could plug in to Grazr. The result is our Beer Grazr page. The OPML source for this is http://www.hailtheale.com/beerlinks.opml which you should be able to import to your feed reader if you want to. I'll keep this updated as we update our blogroll.
Thanks to the fine folks at Grazr for a very cool component.

Those Man Laws commercials are getting better, in my opinion (which is really all that matters since this is my blog, nah-ne-nah-ne-boo-boo). The two most recent I saw during football today are "Hiding Beer" and "Overflow Slam". I like these more than some of the ones they ran in the past. See, I do actually like some beer advertising from the megabeerco's.

A few weeks ago, I wrote that I hoped I'd see Anchor Summer Ale here before summer ended. Well, Whole Foods must have been listening since I was able to pick up a 6-pack before football yesterday which made me very happy (it's the little things, really). The flavor wasn't as strong as Anchor Steam, but this was a solid ale and went well with the chips, dips, and nachos we had during the game. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 if I was into that sort of thing.

Joe Bartender is a new sponsor of Hail the Ale! What is the site all about? Well, here's how they tell it:
Everybody loves a nice refreshing beverage. Ultimately, that’s what Joe Bartender is all about. We decided to put together a site that would compile all kinds of information related to mixology, entertaining and living the good life.
They have tons (literally–I weighed them just now) of drink recipes and great articles on bartending, beer, and other drinky goodness.
They had some problems with their site the other day and are running on a fairly generic template compared to the beautiful site they had before. Hopefully they'll get this sorted out soon. The info. is still good, but I loved the original look.
