For those of you not from these here parts, North Carolina is part of
the “Bible Belt”. Due to this, it has some strict (silly?) laws
regarding alcohol. One that is annoying for people that enjoy stronger
beers is that they don't allow beer sales of beer stronger than 6%.
This may soon change:
A law that would expand the varieties of beer sold in North Carolina
took a step forward this week when a state legistlative committee
approved the proposal to raise the maximum alcohol content permitted in
these beverages.
